Few things feel as synonymous with resort dressing as white. Against sun-warmed skin and the blue of the water, Melissa Odabash’s edit of luxury white beachwear moves from effortless beach and pool cover-ups to more refined resort wear, with lace, texture and considered silhouettes giving the simplicity of white its character.
The Gillian Dress introduces a new, more modest silhouette, with its maxi length, button front and wrap tie creating an elegant layer for the hours around the beach. For something shorter, the Finola Dress is a new fitted shape that brings a more feminine line to white beach dressing. Both reflect an approach that has long defined Melissa Odabash, where the pieces worn over swimwear are considered as carefully as the bikini or swimsuit beneath them.
White also lends itself naturally to coordinated dressing. The Ashley, Tina and Krissy styles create an elevated white co-ord story, designed to be worn together or separated across a resort wardrobe. Alongside them, the Elena Shirt and Odette Trousers introduce delicate lace and relaxed tailoring in softer Ivory.
From a white dress slipped over swimwear to a considered co-ord worn for lunch or dinner, the appeal lies in how easily each piece moves through the day. Melissa Odabash approaches white beachwear as a wardrobe in its own right, balancing the ease required by the beach with the cut, texture and detail expected of luxury resortwear.
